H.E Humaid Mohamed Al Qutami

During his career path, HE Mr. Humaid Al Qutami held many leadership positions in both public and private sectors; he assumed the chairmanship of many boards of directors of several governmental and private institutions in various sectors.
Mr. Al Qutami has been appointed as the Director General of Dubai Health Authority in May 2015. He served as the UAE Minister of Education from 2009 until 2014; and served as the UAE Minister of Health from 2006 until 2009.
Mr. Al Qutami was the chairperson of many government authorities and financial institutions; Mr. Humaid is the Chairman of the Commercial Bank of Dubai. He also served as a chairperson of several boards of directors of a number of academic institutions including Universities and Colleges, both public and private.
Al Qutami works as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Dubai Future Foundation, Mohammed bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, as well as a member of the Board of Trustees of the UAE University, Abu Dhabi University, George Mason University, RAK Campus, UAE. He was the Director General of the Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Studies, EIBFS, (1991 -2006). While serving as the Director General of the EIBFS, Mr. Al Qutami was well renowned for his support and contribution to the Emaritization efforts in UAE, with special concentration on Banking & Financial Sector.
Mr. Humaid was the chairperson of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources and the Civil Service Council. He worked as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Transport and Services Corporation.
He has also served on several committees at the regional and global levels, where he received the membership of several councils, committees and executive offices at the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries, and the membership at the Executive Council of the Arab Administrative Development Organization. Mr. Al Qutami is working as the First Vice Prescient of the UAE National Olympic Committee.
Mr. Humaid Al Qutami has contributed to the promotion and consolidation of the voluntary movement in the UAE through his many responsibilities in the voluntary sector. He contributed to the establishment of several Volunteer Associations. He served as the chairperson of the Board of Directors of the UAE Environment Friends Society, Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work and Emirates Volunteers Association.
He also served as a certified trainer and lecturer at the Union of Arab Banks, the Institute of Administrative Development and the Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Studies. Mr. Al Qutami holds a Master Degree in Administration (1985) from Western Michigan University, USA.
