Siham Masoud AL Rasheedy
A renowned global sportswoman specializing in discus throw, javelin throw and shot put, she is presently a Senior Communications Executive at Dubai Land Department. She is a Member of Athlete’s Committee for Asian Paralympic Committee. She participated in major championships including the London Paralympic Games in 2012 where she secured 6th position in discus throw and 7th in javelin. At the Rio Paralympic Games four years later, she obtained 6t.h position in discus throw. Her ranking stood at 7th in discus throw at the World Para Athletics Championship in London next year. In the West Asian Para Games in 2017, she secured 1st place in discus throw and javelin and 2nd place in shot put. In 2014, the Asian Para Games in Inchon saw her getting 3rd position in javelin throw. In the West Asian Para Games in Jordan in September 2019, she was adjudged 2nd in discus throw and 3rd in shot put and javelin. Between 2009 and 2015, she enjoyed positions ranging from 1st to 3rd in javelin throw and discus throw in the IWAS World Games in Bengaluru, Portugal, Sharjah, Holland and Russia.
At the IDM in Berlin in 2009, 2011, 2012, 2014 and 2016, she continued excelling by obtaining top three positions in discus and javelin throw. In the GCC Championships too, she came out with flying colours from 2001 until 2015, securing top positions in javelin throw and shot put. Similarly, she secured first place in these three fields in the GCC Women's Sport Games in Abu Dhabi in 2011. At the Dubai summit, she will be discussing the difficulties People of Determination face while travelling through airports and during their participation in external championships.
